Manchester United and Manchester City will be involved in a fierce battle on the pitch on Sunday when they meet in the first derby of the campaign.
But away from the glare of Old Trafford another war is raging - the scrap for the best academy talent. Just this week, two promising young talents have left City to join United.
David Eze and Karim Cassim are just two examples of a whole host of top young talents who move between the biggest clubs in the country at an increasingly young age. United also signed the Fletcher twins (Jack and Tyler) from City and they brought in Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi from Arsenal, while over at City, the Blues added Ryan McAidoo to their ranks two years ago from Chelsea and signed the highly-rated Divine Mukasa from West Ham. City fought hard to keep 16-year-old Xavier Parker at the club this summer amid interest from a host of top teams, United included.
