Kerry Washington and her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha, enjoyed a night out in Paris this week.
The couple made a rare public appearance together at Jay-Z’s concert at Stade de France on Thursday, Sept. 10, with Washington sharing a glimpse of their night on her Instagram Stories.
Set to Jay-Z’s “Public Service Announcement (Interlude),” the video featured an “@JayZ in Paris” text overlay and clips of Washington and Asomugha singing and dancing along to the show. Other moments showed Jay-Z performing onstage, including a special appearance by Justin Timberlake, before the concert wrapped with fireworks.
Timberlake and Jay-Z reunited during the concert to perform “Holy Grail,” their 2013 collaboration from Jay-Z’s album Magna Carta Holy Grail. The “Mirrors” singer later commemorated the performance by sharing a carousel of photos of himself and Jay-Z, including one shot of the pair posing beneath the bright stadium lights and another capturing the crowd’s reaction.

While Washington, 49, and Asomugha, 45, have both enjoyed high-profile careers, the two have largely kept their relationship and family life private.
The couple tied the knot in June 2013 in a private outdoor ceremony in Idaho. A source who attended the wedding previously told PEOPLE that the intimate ceremony was held at a friend’s home.
“Everything was held at one of Kerry’s friend’s houses,” the source said. “They flew a few people out on this little private plane. The house was beautiful.”
The guest list was kept small, according to the source.

“It was small, just family and close friends,” the source said. “They said their own vows, people stayed at the house. It was really simple and sweet.”
The Scandal star also briefly reflected on her relationship with the former NFL player during her 2023 Marie Claire interview.
“I’m in my immediate truth with [him],” she said. “Those mirrors are important because they help me get back to myself.”
Washington and Asomugha are parents to three children. They welcomed their first child, daughter Isabelle Amarachi, on April 21, 2014, followed by son Caleb Kelechi on Oct. 5, 2016.

“Kerry was so thrilled to be a mom of two. Having Isabelle changed her life for the better and she was so excited to expand the family,” a source told PEOPLE in 2016. “Pregnancy treats her well! She ate very healthy and knows how to take care of her body.”
The couple are also parents to Asomugha’s daughter from a previous relationship.
Washington has been open about her desire to protect her children from public scrutiny. In her March 2020 InStyle cover story, she said she is “really, really vigilant” about keeping her three children out of the public eye.
“I think any parent would want to keep kids from a situation that causes them to feel scared,” she said. “I don’t want them to be exploited, particularly in this social media world.”
Washington’s next movie, the Ben Affleck-directed Animals, hits Netflix on Oct. 9.
