Jordan Morgan gives the Packers a needed boost
Morgan was upgraded from limited to full participation on Thursday’s injury report. The Packers still had seven other players listed as limited or absent, but Morgan’s return removed the biggest concern around Love’s blind side.
Morgan enters his third NFL season at 25 years old. Green Bay selected him 25th overall out of Arizona in the 2024 NFL Draft, and the Packers now need him to anchor a line facing immediate divisional pressure.

Jordan Love has also spoken about pushing through his own ankle issue while preparing to play. “I’ve always been trying to just do more than what they want me to do,” Love said. “When I first injured it, they wanted to put me in a boot, and I’m like, ‘Nah, I just want to walk around. I want to feel it out and do my own thing.’ But them being trainers, they know what’s best.”
“So I kind of push myself all the time. So throughout this whole process of dealing with this high ankle, I’ve always just been pushing myself, getting extra work, and just trying to do the right things,” he added.
Morgan’s return gives Green Bay a healthier starting piece, and the rest of the line continues to settle. That matters with Zach Tom also working to keep the interior steady in front of Love.
Green Bay prepares for a tough divisional opener
The Packers travel to U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday to face the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay’s latest injury report showed how important Morgan’s return was for the offensive line.
Morgan will have to protect Love against a Vikings front that can quickly change the shape of a game. The full participation removes the primary question mark protecting the left side of the line. The Packers also made a roster move before meeting Minnesota signing former Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings defensive back Kahlef Hailassie to their practice squad.
Sunday’s opener at U.S. Bank Stadium will test whether Morgan can anchor the blind side against Minnesota’s pass rush. Sunday’s opener will show whether the Packers have enough protection to start the season with control.
