Liverpool fans have received a positive indication regarding Cody Gakpo’s availability for this afternoon’s Premier League meeting with Fulham at Anfield.
The Netherlands international had emerged as a doubt for the clash after missing Wednesday night’s Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid with an adductor issue.

Gakpo had experienced discomfort on both sides of his adductors following last weekend’s win over Ipswich Town, prompting Liverpool to leave him out of the squad for the 2-1 victory over Diego Simeone’s side.
Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola confirmed ahead of the Fulham game that Gakpo would be assessed, having not trained on Thursday.
The Reds boss explained that the forward would attempt to train on Friday before a decision was made on whether he was ready to feature against the Cottagers or would instead be given more time to recover.
However, there has now been an encouraging development ahead of kick-off.
Footage posted on TikTok shows Gakpo alongside the Liverpool squad as the players arrive at their hotel ahead of today’s fixture, providing a positive indication that the 27-year-old is with the matchday group.
Gakpo has made an excellent start to the Premier League campaign and has registered a goal contribution in each of Liverpool’s league matches so far.
His absence would therefore have represented a significant blow to Iraola’s attacking options.
Liverpool head into the contest looking to continue building momentum under their new head coach.
The Reds remain unbeaten in the league and have also taken confidence from their midweek Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
They will be looking to turn that positive run into another three points at Anfield.
Fulham, meanwhile, arrive on Merseyside in desperate need of a result.
Álvaro Arbeloa’s side have lost all three of their opening Premier League matches, suffering defeats against Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Sunderland.
The Cottagers have conceded seven goals across those games, although they have managed to score four themselves.
With Liverpool looking to maintain their unbeaten start and Fulham searching for their first league points of the campaign, Gakpo’s presence could provide another major boost for the Reds.
