The Green Bay Packers have reportedly locked tight end Tucker Kraft up for the long haul.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Kraft and the Packers have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $75 million, with a max value of $92 million.
Rapoport adds that the deal will average $19.66 million over the first three new years of the contract and the deal also includes a $26.5 million signing bonus.
“Buzzer beater: The Packers and TE Tucker Kraft agreed to terms on a lucrative 4-year extension through 2030, sources say,” Rapoport reported. “Kraft will average $19.66M over the first 3 new years of the deal… Overall, it’s 4 years for $75M with $92M as max value.”
Talk about cutting it close — the deal between the Packers and Kraft comes just one day before Green Bay kicks off its 2026 season.
At a base value of $75 million, Kraft’s contract ranks third among tight ends in the league, trailing only the Arizona Cardinals’ Trey McBride ($76 million) and the San Francisco 49ers’ George Kittle ($76.4 million), according to Over The Cap.
A well-deserved extension
Kraft has ascended into one of the NFL’s better tight ends in the past few seasons.
After posting 355 yards and two touchdowns in his rookie campaign in 2023, Kraft had a career-best showing in 2024 with 707 yards and seven scores.
Kraft was on pace to smash those marks after posting 489 yards and six touchdowns in eight games in 2025, but a torn ACL ended his season early.
