Rogers was fed the ball from Joao Pedro, and then fired low into the bottom corner to hand Chelsea an early lead.
He has joined an elite group of Chelsea heroes who have scored or assisted in each of the first four Premier League games of a season.
Didier Drogba was first to do so in the 2010/11 campaign as he netted four and assisted four.
Cesc Fabregas followed him with six assists in 2014/15, as Diego Costa scored seven in that same run.
Costa also bagged four goals and an assist in 2016/17, and then Eden Hazard hit two goals and two assists at the start of 2018/19.
Hull then equalised shortly before the half-hour mark as Mohamed Belloumi struck after some poor Chelsea defending.
The Algerian scored a second moments later as the visitors fought back to lead.

Rogers' goal against Hull came after he came off the bench and assisted three times in the 6-3 Carabao Cup win over Leeds United.
