Newcastle Star 'Keen' on Big Tottenham Move
Last Word on Football brings you the latest team news and confirmed lineups ahead of Tottenham vs Everton in the Premier League. Spurs are still searching for their first league win of the season, while Everton remain unbeaten after collecting five points from their opening three matches.
Tottenham have endured a difficult opening to the league campaign. Defeats against Brentford and Newcastle United were followed by a goalless draw with Nottingham Forest, leave De Zerbi’s side with just one point and still without a Premier League goal.
Everton began the season with a victory over Crystal Palace before comfortably defeating Preston North End 4-0 in the EFL Cup. Then came a 1-1 draw away to AFC Bournemouth prior to Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ debut goal salvaging a last-gasp point against Manchester United last time out.

Tottenham Team News
Tottenham will be without Mykhailo Mudryk after the Chelsea loanee suffered an ankle injury in training. The winger is expected to remain unavailable until after the international break.
James Maddison is available again following his shoulder problem and could return to the lineup as De Zerbi looks for a solution to his side’s lack of goals.
Mohammed Kudus is also closing in on a return to the starting lineup. The Ghana international has appeared from the bench in their last two matches and could now be considered for a more prominent role.

Dejan Kulusevski has suffered a small setback after recently returning to full training, meaning he is not yet back with the main group. Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons remain sidelined with long-term ACL injuries.
Richarlison is also unavailable after being left out of the Premier League squad. The Brazilian is exploring his options after failing to secure a move away from the club during the transfer window.
De Zerbi therefore has several attacking options to consider, with a similar lineup to the one that started against Nottingham Forest possible.
Everton Team News
Everton have relatively few injury concerns heading into their trip to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Christian Norgaard remains sidelined and is not expected to return until after the international break, but otherwise Moyes has a largely settled squad to choose from.
Jack Grealish is pushing for his first start since joining Everton on loan from Manchester City, with Moyes suggesting that the winger is ready to start.
The Toffees’ boss has largely kept faith with the same side across the opening three Premier League matches, meaning Grealish could be the most notable alteration against Spurs.
Everton did not manage to add another striker after missing out on reported summer targets Joshua Zirkzee and Folarin Balogun. Thierno Barry therefore remains the club’s only senior centre-forward option.
There will also be familiar faces in the opposition ranks for Brennan Johnson, who returns to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after leaving Spurs and subsequently representing Crystal Palace before joining Everton.

Tottenham have enjoyed an impressive home record against Everton in recent years, although the Toffees’ unbeaten start means this should be a stern test for De Zerbi’s side.
Spurs appear to have the advantage when it comes to overall quality and depth, particularly with several options available from the bench. Everton, however, will look to exploit Tottenham’s difficult beginning to the campaign and leave north London with a positive result.
An early Everton goal could make things uncomfortable for the hosts, but Tottenham should have enough to come through if their expensive summer additions deliver.
