Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift delivered a message to fans after signing a lucrative contract extension ahead of the team's Week 1 road matchup against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Bears shared a video Saturday on social media featuring Swift reacting to his new deal and expressing his excitement about remaining in Chicago.

“Chicago, what’s going on? It’s D’Andre Swift, man. I just signed my extension. Excited to be back. Can’t wait to get to work. Bear down.”

Swift's message came one day after ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the details of the agreement. The extension keeps one of Chicago's top offensive weapons under contract after a career year.

“Sources: RB D’Andre Swift and the Chicago Bears have reached agreement on a 3-year, $33.75 million extension that includes $27.5M guaranteed. This is now Swift’s third NFL contract. Trevon Smith and David Mulugheta of Athletes First and the Bears just wrapped up the deal with the regular season’s start looming.”

Swift earned the extension after producing his best season since entering the NFL. The veteran running back rushed for a career-high 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns, also a personal best.

His performance established him as a key part of the Bears' offense and helped secure his long-term future with the organization.

Chicago will now look for Swift to carry that production into the 2026 season. He will also have additional support in the backfield from Kyle Monangai, giving the Bears another option alongside their lead running back.

With Swift's extension finalized, Chicago can turn its attention toward opening the regular season against Carolina and building on his career-best campaign.
