CHELSEA 2-2 HULL: The Blues fought back to claim a draw at home to high-flying Hull.

Hull were denied their first-ever win at Stamford Bridge as, once again, Chelsea's attack came to the rescue of their defence, drawing 2-2. The Blues started in control, as they have been this season, and led after just 7 minutes when Morgan Rogers rifled home at the near post to cap off a free-flowing counterattack.
Hull were let back into the game when Jorrel Hato bizarrely misjudged the bounce of the ball, which flew over his head and to Mohamed Belloumi, who made no mistake to equalise. Just six minutes later, the Algerian gave Hull an unlikely lead when Semi Ajayi’s header bounced back off the bar and Oliver McBurnie teed his winger up to fire home from the edge of the box.
With the Chelsea defence in major need of help, Cole Palmer delivered once again as he put the ball on a plate for Joao Pedro to fire into the roof of the net, but they were unable to force a late winner.

Little he could have done to prevent either Hull goal but Alonso would have wanted his goalkeeper to be more commanding while defending corners. Big save to deny McBurnie on the hour mark and another from Mohamed-Ali Cho just before the final whistle.
Struggled throughout as he was reverted to his ‘favoured’ position at right-back. Perhaps his next stint will be back in midfield. Poor on the ball and without it.
Gap in quality between the Frenchman and Maxence Lacroix is staggering. Injuries are undoubtedly to blame but Fofana has been poor for a while now.
A leader of a defence that was all at sea. Chelsea now have conceded in each of their last 20 Premier League games and while Colwill is not primarily at fault, his colleagues are looking to him to guide them. Not at his best with the ball today, either.
At the scene of both Hull goals. The first will see fingers pointed directly at the left-back, who misjudged the bounce of a cross, which flew over his head, and straight to the feet of a delighted Belloumi. The second was an unfortunate deflection that took Belloumi’s shot out of Martinez’s path. Offered little in attack either and there was little surprise when he was hooked off at half-time.

Denied a wonderful free-kick goal early in the second half by strong goalkeeping. Tidy enough otherwise, but Alonso surely would love to use his captain at right-back.

Did little to protect the defence. Still yet to complete 90 minutes for Chelsea after being replaced by Valentin Barcola on the 70-minute mark.
Beautiful piece of play to set Pedro up for the Blues' second, which came out of nowhere. His individual brilliance is carrying Chelsea at the moment.
Too often ran into traffic and made some poor decisions on the ball. Failed to dart in behind the Hull defence and constantly wanted ball to feet.
Worked well with Palmer to then find Rogers to score early and then an instinctive finish to equalise by the Premier League Player of the Month. Exceptional striker work.
At his best when he sized up Regan Slater, breezed past the midfielder and powered a shot past Konstantinos Tzolakis to continue his blistering start to the season. Could have settled the game with a late strike that was saved, but the England man should have buried it.
