Liverpool endured a frustrating afternoon as they were held to a goalless draw by Fulham in an absolutely atrocious Premier League meeting at Anfield on Saturday. Victor Munoz came closest for the Reds when his header was saved by Bernd Leno while the Cottagers saw a Gonzalo Garcia effort cleared off the line by Jeremy Jacquet.
The result means Andoni Iraola's side remain unbeaten under the new head coach but have now dropped points in three of their four Premier League games so far this season.
The ECHO was in attendance at Anfield and here we run the rule over the performances of the Liverpool players.
Alisson Becker 6
Sold Gravenberch short with one stupid pass first half and almost gave away penalty in ensuing scramble. Solid handling otherwise and decent stop from King late on.
Ronald Araujo 6
Nowhere near as comfortable as previous opponents up against pace down the Fulham left but kept at it. Lacked quality with deliveries going forward. Subbed.
Jeremy Jacquet 6
Dug out Alisson with goalline clearance and one last-ditch tackle denied breaking Garcia before interval, but tired slightly in the second half.
Virgil van Dijk 6
Appeared unusually flustered with the Liverpool defence not working as a unit and had to step out of backline to mop up the mess of others on occasion.
Kostas Tsimikas 4
Something of an understatement to state the Greek looked rusty on his first Premier League start in 16 months. Subbed.
Dominik Szoboszlai 4
Concerning outing with only sporadic bursts of energy in an overall alarmingly listless display, but did warm palms of Leno with one shot second half.
Ryan Gravenberch 4
Visibly uncertain about where he should be playing, often bypassed and looked so slow. A worrying afternoon. Subbed.
Victor Munoz 6
Dangerous when given opportunity to use pace down the right and solicited good Leno save with header from corner. Subbed.
Florian Wirtz 5
Wide with a couple of efforts but too much of his passing was off radar. Far too many nearly things from the Germany international.
Bradley Barcola 6
Created one chance for Isak and one strong tackle but little else first half. Should have shot after some good play after interval. Subbed.
Alexander Isak 5
Dragged one effort wide but didn’t work as hard as of late and disappeared for large stretches. Fashioned one chance after break.
Milos Kerkez (for Tsimikas 46) 6
More effective than the man he replaced.
Alexis Mac Allister (for Gravenberch 60) 6
Tried to initiate attacks and at least put himself about in midfield.
Cody Gakpo (for Munoz 60) 6
Another whose efforts ramped up the intensity of the attack.
Rio Ngumoha (for Barcola 72) 5
Unable to make much of a difference down the left.
Jeremie Frimpong (for Araujo 72) 6
Given a testing time at right-back but got through it just about.
