However, what followed was a drab performance in front of the home fans as most of their attacking players failed to come to the fore.

And after the game, Andoni Iraola played down claims that Liverpool feel more pressurised to get a result at Anfield.

As the gaffer said, the Reds fared quite well vs Atletico Madrid under the lights at Anfield, so they need to have a long, hard look at themselves after such a lacklustre display just a few days later.
