NBA rosters are mostly filled out with the season around the corner, but some adjustments are still set to be made.
The Celtics are one team that may make some tweaks, especially after recent news came out that they have interest in a recently waived guard.

On Friday night, the Hawks waived guard Devin Carter.
Not too long after that was reported, NBA insider Jake Fischer reported that Carter was on the Celtics' radar.

Carter was traded to the Hawks from the Kings earlier this summer, but was waived before suiting up with the team.
He was fairly productive with the Kings last season, but has only played 74 games in his first two seasons in the NBA.
In 2025-26, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.7 assists and 0.9 steals in 18.4 minutes.
Carter could fit nicely with the Celtics, whether given a medium/small role, but it can't hurt to sign a player like him who is still in the very early stages of his NBA career.
