Broncos fan favorite CB predicted to land $17M contract after 2026 season image
The Denver Broncos' defense is one of the best in the entire NFL, and it's thanks to this elite defense that this team is once again one of the top contenders coming out of the AFC.
While Nik Bonitto and Patrick Surtain II get a lot of the attention, and justifiably so, other key players on defense will make a huge difference in this team's ability to go on a deep postseason run.
One of the more important players is fan favorite cornerback Riley Moss, who ESPN's Seth Walder is predicting will sign a major $17 million contract after the 2026 season comes to a close.

"Cornerback Riley Moss will command a $17 million per year contract -- the same AAV as the deal Jaylen Watson signed with the Rams this offseason -- either re-signing with Denver or as a free agent," Walder writes.
Moss, the Broncos' fan favorite cornerback, could be in store for a major payday after the 2026 season. He's a talented outside corner who's played well opposite Surtain during his NFL career.
While he's been someone who gets a lot of penalties called on him, having the most penalty yards among all corners last season, Moss is still a very high-upside starter who would be of significant value to plenty of teams.

Combined with the rising cap and the difficulty of finding good starting cornerbacks, it would hardly be a surprise to see the Broncos lose their No. 2 CB on the open market following the 2026 NFL season.
They could try and franchise-tag him to keep him under contract for another year, or they might tag-and-trade Moss if they want to get creative. A long-term extension wouldn't be a total surprise either.
But regardless of what Moss's future entails, Walder is predicting that the Broncos will see their fan favorite cornerback sign a $17 million per-year contract this offseason.
