The 2026 season is set to begin.
Throughout the campaign, we will take a barometer reading on how confident Jets fans are in the team’s direction with our weekly SB Nation Reacts survey.
A new season brings new optimism at least as far as our initial SB Nation Reacts confidence survey suggests.
Obviously a 63 percent confidence rating means that more than half of the fans who voted in our unscientific poll feel good about the Jets heading into the season.
That is a pretty solid mark. It is lower than we have seen in recent years, however. Last year in our first survey, 76 percent of Jets fans [were confident in the team’s direction](/general/86533/a-new-year-brings-new-jets-fan-confidence). Two years ago our initial poll [had an 83 percent confidence rating](/2024/9/7/24238160/jets-fans-expect-big-things-in-2024) with 91 percent of voters expecting a winning season.
So Jets fans are optimistic, but that optimism is a bit more guarded this year than it has been in the past.
