David Moyes believes there is “more to come” from Jarrad Branthwaite despite his colossal performance for Everton in their 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old produced an excellent display to help his team thwart a Spurs side loaded with expensive attacking talent.
Moyes was unhappy with the wider performance of his team but acknowledged the result was a positive one given Everton's woeful record at Tottenham.
The Blues singled out two players in particular for praise. Moyes said: “Jarrad was excellent, as was Myko [Vitalii Mykolenko]. I thought they were both very good.

“They had to be because I think the way Tottenham opened up and really started very quick, very slick and sharp, we had to be at our best to try and get through that period.”
Branthwaite is one of several Everton players in contention for an England call-up later this month, with James Garner and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also expected to be under consideration.
It is a remarkable comeback for Branthwaite, who lost most of last season to injury but has looked strong across four consecutive Premier League starts.
Moyes said of his centre-back: “Jarrad is a really good player. I think he's got far more to come. I think he's still finding his way after his injury.
“It would be great if he gets called up because I want my players to be called up for their countries because it means they're doing well and the team's doing well.
“Jimmy Garner was called up at the end of last year, with a chance to go to the World Cup. I hope they do and one or two others are playing well, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has had a really good start to this season as well.”
Everton return to action on Wednesday when they host Wolves in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
