Everton old boys roll back the years to lift Cannes Legends Trophy

**Still got it. A team of familiar Everton faces have rolled back the years by winning the Cannes Legends Trophy.**

The [Everton](https://readeverton.com/) Legends side featured some genuine Goodison favourites, with Tim Cahill captaining a squad containing Phil Jagielka, Steven Pienaar, Joseph Yobo and Louis Saha.

Joleon Lescott was involved too, alongside former goalkeeper Jan Mucha and academy product Jose Baxter.

Bluekipper shared a picture of the victorious group on Sunday morning, with Darren Griffiths completing the line-up.

For Evertonians of a certain vintage, there are some lovely names in there.

Cahill remains one of the club’s most popular modern-era players after scoring 68 goals in 278 appearances, while Pienaar will forever bring back memories of that partnership with Leighton Baines down the left.

Jagielka spent 12 years at Everton and captained the club, while Yobo made more than 200 appearances. Saha supplied a few memorable moments of his own after arriving from Manchester United in 2008.

And, yes, there was silverware at the end of it. It may only have been the Cannes Legends Trophy, but Everton lifting trophies isn’t something we’re going to turn our noses up at. Or are used to.

Well played, lads.
