Are Arsenal set to make a move for Liverpool’s Rio Ngumoha?
Ngumoha joined Liverpool from Chelsea in 2024 as a relative unknown in the football world.

Last season, that changed.
After a series of performances that showcased the talent of the English attacker, Rio Ngumoha became one of the most talked about teenagers.
The 18-year-old was a particular bright light in an otherwise disappointing season for The Reds and many now see him as a future star on Merseyside.
But the summer signing of Bradley Barcola and the fact that Cody Gakpo has stayed at the club means that there’s some serious pressure for the former Chelsea academy player on his favoured side of the pitch.
And it’s being reported that Arsenal are looking to take advantage.
Journalist Alan Nixon is reporting that Arsenal are watching developments between Liverpool and Rio Ngumoha with growing interest.
Writing on his Patreon, Nixon explains that Mikel Arteta’s side will look to make a move for Ngumoha if he doesn’t manage to establish himself on that left hand side of the pitch.
For those unaware, Arsenal were in for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr for a large part of the summer transfer window and it appears that they’re looking at alternative options for that left sided attacking role.
Having sold both Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, The Gunners seem to have switched their attention from Spain back to England for reinforcements.
Alan Nixon doesn’t mention anything about Liverpool looking to sell or even any unhappiness on the part of the player.
His update seems more of a pointer towards Arsenal’s interest more than anything with the North London side having “big money in their pocket for elite signings so their hungry eyes are set on Merseyside for next few months”.
For now, Liverpool fans will be hoping that Andoni Iraola will be able to find more game time for the highly talented attacker so that he can keep Arsenal’s interest at bay.
