The San Francisco 49ers were able to walk away with a big win against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1, but it came with an injury to one of their rookies. De'Zhaun Stribling suffered an ankle sprain, and there are more details on how serious it is.
“49ers rookie WR De'Zhaun Stribling, who left the opener early with an injury, is out at least a month with a deltoid sprain in his ankle, sources say. Stribling is still seeking opinions, and while surgery is not currently planned, it is possible. SF will be cautious,” Ian Rapoport of NFL Network wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
The 49ers won't rush Stribling back into the fold, but the hope is that he can have a fast recovery. He was expected to have an important role on the team, but the 49ers already have a few options that can fill his void, and it showed after he went down against the Rams.

The defense will be important for the 49ers if the offense isn't up to par, and defensive coordinator Raheem Morris seems to already have the group ready to compete at a high level after holding the Rams to just seven points.
The 49ers showed that they should be one of the better teams in the league once again this season, but they'll have to avoid the injuries they suffered last season.
