NFL fans were left unable to watch the action just minutes into the new season on Sunday, after the league's 'NFL+' app went down.

Football fans pay $14.99 a month - or $99.99 for the full season - for the package, which is supposed to allow you to watch NFL RedZone live on Sunday afternoons.

By 1:19pm on Week 1, though, complaints were pouring in to the league with hundreds complaining that they could not access the live feed of the action.

In a post on X, the league wrote: 'We are aware of the issues affecting the NFL+ experience and are working to fix them. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please submit a ticket to our customer support team.'

One fan wrote: 'Fix your stupid app. We can’t watch red zone,' while another added: 'The @NFL app not working for Week 1 and Red Zone is the most NFL thing ever. Refund? Lol'
