Tottenham are still searching for their first goal of the Premier League season and, of course, their first victory, with Roberto De Zerbi's side struggling near the bottom of the table.
Spurs may have been expecting to end their disappointing run as they hosted Everton, who have notoriously struggled in recent years when travelling to the north London club.
It was a game of minimal clear-cut chances, with Everton undoubtedly having the better of the few opportunities.
There were boos ringing around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after full-time, which is no surprise considering the supporters are yet to see their side score a goal in the Premier League this season.
De Zerbi will be learning something about his side every single week, and here is what we learned about each player during the game against Everton.
Antonin Kinsky
It's been something we've seen on multiple occasions this season, but Kinsky does have some issues with the ball at his feet. The Tottenham goalkeeper presented a gilt-edged chance to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, but thankfully for Kinsky, he managed to save his strike.
Archie Gray
We learned that Archie Gray is a consistent performer wherever he plays. The former Leeds man handled Tyrique George incredibly well, particularly when he wasn't left isolated 1vs1.
Jan Paul van Hecke
Jan Paul van Hecke showed why De Zerbi was desperate to bring him to the club from a progression perspective. The former Brighton man was fantastic on the ball and helped Tottenham turn defence into attack consistently throughout the game.
Micky van de Ven

If there's someone we learned little about, it was Micky van de Ven. It was a typical performance from the Spurs skipper. Strong defensively and comfortable in possession.
Andy Robertson
We learned that Andy Robertson does still have that creative edge, but Tottenham need more from him. The left-back had little to do defensively due to Brennan Johnson struggling, but still showed little going forward.

Rodrigo Bentancur
Rodrigo Bentancur does lack the physicality in the Premier League. He was dribbled past four times during the game despite being substituted in the second half. Was very easy for Everton to make runs beyond him.
Savio
We learned that Savio has plenty of tricks in his locker, but he really lacks that end product. The Brazilian winger looked fantastic in the first half, but became predictable with Vitalii Mykolenko having his number as the game went on.
Mateus Fernandes

Mateus Fernandes makes some fantastic runs and gets into some excellent positions, but he's also a player lacking that end product. There were some moments where he just needed to get a shot off quickly, but failed to do so.
Omar Marmoush
We learned that Omar Marmoush simply isn't a winger. There isn't much more to say about that, but it was a poor performance from him out wide.
Dominic Solanke
Dominic Solanke just doesn't seem to be the same player he once was. He struggled to get involved and didn't even register a shot. He shouldn't be a regular starter for Tottenham.
