Liverpool's Premier League draw with Fulham came as a blow for Andoni Iraola and his players, but also for one soccer fan who lost a lot of money backing the Reds

There was an air of frustration around Anfield when the full-time whistle went on Saturday, as Liverpool fans saw yet another difficult draw at home, this time against Fulham.
The Reds may have been fortunate to get a point, as Jeremy Jacquet was called into action a few times for a defense that can look suspect at times. The midfield looks short of ideas and cohesion, while the forward line isn't quite firing at full capacity, even after positive displays against Ipswich and Atletico Madrid over the previous week.
With one win and three draws from the opening four Premier League matches of the season, there is a clear sense of frustration emanating from the stands that can tell something isn't quite clicking for the team.

Perhaps few will be quite as frustrated as one soccer fan, who had placed a huge bet on Liverpool to win against Fulham and has subsequently lost a lot of money.
Polymarket claims that someone had placed a $310,000 bet on its platform for the Reds to pick up all three points on Saturday, with a potential payout worth $469,262.
That possibility, however, never came to fruition. With Liverpool's frustrating draw against Fulham, the bettor lost the $310,000 they had staked, coming as a huge blow to them.

The main concern for the Merseyside outfit, however, will be looking ahead to the coming games and building upon an unbeaten start to the campaign.
Two games remain for Iraola's team before the combined September and October international break, with focus on a midweek clash with Tottenham in the Carabao Cup up next.
A reunion with Bournemouth then follows for Iraola, with the three-week international break offering him and his staff an opportunity to assess the opening weeks of the campaign and where improvements can be made.
The weeks that follow will kick the season into another gear, as the manager must balance the Premier League, Champions League and potentially the EFL Cup once again in a busy run before the next break.

"I think there is a lack of freshness, definitely, we cannot hide it." Iraola admitted after the draw with Fulham, underlining the task ahead of him for the rest of the season.
"I think it's the worst turnaround in terms of 60-something hours between the games, after a very big game the other day. But this is going to happen more times.
"Maybe with one more day but sometimes it's going to be the same way during the season. We have to adapt to these circumstances. And it's these kind of games that you need to win sometimes with a set-play, sometimes with the shot from the edge, sometimes from a moment of brilliance from the offensive players, and we haven't had that today. We've been clearly not as good offensively as we've been [in] other days."
It remains to be seen how Liverpool will progress from here, but there will be some hope that more wins will naturally follow as the season progresses.
