Did the Bucs even attempt a deep shot against a questionable Bengals defense? Their longest passes were 30 yards from a Chris Godwin catch-and-run, and a 22-yarder of the same variety to Bucky Irving.
While Bucky Irving looked good (8 carries for 45 yards, plus 7 catches for 48 yards), Joe wasn’t impressed by the run selection and execution after hearing all about how Robinson is great at scheming the run. A total of 15 Bucs handoffs netted 3.9 yards per carry.
Robinson is entitled to some growing pains, though that won’t help cool off the seat under Todd Bowles.
