The New York Giants are set to have number one receiver Malik Nabers when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2. Nabers, who was a Pro Bowl player in 2024 as a rookie, is active for the Giants on Sunday night, less than a year after a devastating knee injury. If Nabers makes it through Week 1 unscathed, it sets up a premier matchup at SoFi Stadium next week between him and Rams corners Trent McDuffie, Jaylen Watson.

Nabers, the sixth overall pick of the 2024 draft, has the potential to be one of the very best receivers and players in the NFL.
After he had nearly 1,600 yards as a junior at LSU in 2023, Nabers carried on with a stellar rookie performance in 2024. The Giants receiver had 109 catches for 1,204 yards in 15 games that season. Then he was off to a strong start in 2025, including 14 catches for 238 yards in the first two games, but tore his ACL and meniscus in Week 4 against the Chiefs. He has not played since last September 28.
However, Nabers is set to be available for Jaxson Dart next week, whereas the Rams will be without Myles Garrett on defense. It’s another interesting matchup for L.A. defensive coordinator Chris Shula because the last thing he can afford right now is a slump.
