Following his free-agency exit from the New York Knicks, Mitchell Robinson couldn't be more excited to play the upcoming season with the Boston Celtics.
On Snapchat, Robinson offered strong words about himself, saying he expects to have a massive first year in Boston.
"Was working out with my coach in Boston. You know what he said? He didn't know that I had the sh*t that I showed tonight. The ball handling, the shooting, the touch. Right now, I'm just so confident in myself," Robinson said.
"I feel like this is gonna be a great year for me. I'm starting to take recovery a lot more serious."
Mitchell Robinson joins Celtics after leaving Knicks
Mitchell Robinson signed a three-year, $47.4 million contract with the Boston Celtics.
Robinson capped off his run as the longest-tenured Knick, officially leaving New York in this year's free agency.
As one of the top backups in the NBA, Robinson anchored the Knicks' title-winning season off the bench. He averaged 5.7 points on 72.3% shooting with 8.8 rebounds across 60 games.
And despite nursing a fractured hand injury, Robinson willed himself in helping the Knicks win it all by beating Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in five games of the NBA Finals.
Set for a better role and opportunity in Boston, Robinson will be huge for the Celtics' upcoming season.
