Hugo Gonzalez made it clear he was not merely bothered by being part of the Boston Celtics' trade talks and negotiations throughout the offseason.
"I mean, it's just something that you know when you're going to the NBA, you know that you can get traded," Gonzalez told CLNS Media. "I wouldn't be the first person to get traded or the last person to get traded.
"Something that you got to know when you get to the NBA, when you get to the league, is that your contract can be traded, and it's part of the business, too. So, you got to realize that you can control it. Just let the time happen and see what happens."

Hugo Gonzalez is convinced he and the Boston Celtics are inclined toward a common goal, which led him to stay with the organization heading into the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season.
With Jaylen Brown's departure, Gonzalez is in position for a sophomore season filled with opportunities after averaging just 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in 14.6 minutes across 74 games in his rookie campaign last year.
"I mean, we're working for the same thing. We're working for winning," Gonzalez added. "They know that I'm going to have the confidence to win and the courage to be 100% working hard every day."
