Nine-year NBA veteran Brandon Knight has officially completed his move to Australia.
Ten-time NBL champions, the Perth Wildcats announced the signing of the 34-year-old, who's coming off a dominant campaign in Puerto Rico with Mets de Guaynabo where he averaged 18 points and 6.3 assists per game.
Brandon Knight's career
Knight was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 2011 NBA Draft as the 8th overall pick after a single season with the Kentucky Wildcats.
The guard had a solid rookie season with the Pistons, averaging 12.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 38% from beyond the arc. This performance earned him All-Rookie First Team honors.
In 2013, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks alongside Khris Middleton. After moving to Milwaukee, Knight showed major improvement since he averaged 17.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists.
His best season in the NBA was with the Phoenix Suns after the guard arrived there via trade. There, Knight accumulated 19.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
He later tore his ACL in July of 2017, which saw him miss the following NBA season. Since then, Knight jumped around teams, failing to secure a consistent role, playing for the Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks.
He also played in the G League and later started his international career with stints in Greece and Puerto Rico.
