Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz have made a key addition to their frontcourt for the upcoming season.
The club officially announced the signing of former NBA center Alex Len to a two-year deal.
The Ukrainian big man arrives at Baskonia after a one-season stint with Real Madrid, where he made his EuroLeague debut last season.
The 33-year-old arrived in Madrid as a high-profile frontcourt addition with long NBA experience, but his role in the EuroLeague remained limited.
In the 2025-26 EuroLeague season, the 2.13-meter center played 23 games for Real Madrid, averaging 3.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks in 9:10 minutes per game.
His best EuroLeague performance came against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, when he recorded career highs of 18 points and 27 PIR.
Len spent 12 years in the NBA
Before coming to Europe, Len spent more than a decade in the NBA.
The Phoenix Suns selected him with the No. 5 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft after his college career at Maryland.
Across his NBA career, Len played for several teams, including the Suns, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards, and Los Angeles Lakers.
His career averages are 6.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks over 690 regular-season games.
Len signed with Real Madrid after playing for the Lakers, returning to European basketball after 12 years in the NBA.
