Liverpool have been handed a major boost with the latest prediction for their final position in the Premier League. The Reds were forced to settle for a point in a goalless draw with Fulham over the weekend, a result which means they have won just one game in the top flight so far this term.
Andoni Iraola’s side have picked up six points from their first four matches in the Premier League, but their 2-0 win over Ipswich Town earlier this month remains their only victory so far.
Despite this, Liverpool remain undefeated in all competitions so far and are preparing to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup in midweek before travelling to Bournemouth in the league at the weekend.
A fresh prediction for how the final Premier League table may look has been made after the latest round of fixtures.
Opta Analyst have crunched the numbers and, despite an uncertain start from Liverpool, the Reds are being predicted to finish in third place in the Premier League this season.
The Reds are being tipped to pick up a total of 59.71 (60) points, which is enough to finish third and qualify for the Champions League for another season.
Arsenal are being predicted to win the title once again on 79.69 (80) points, ahead of Manchester City, who are tipped to finish runners-up again on 74.88 (75) points.
Liverpool are predicted to finish over Chelsea, who are managed by former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso, in fourth with a total of 57.82 (58) points.
The prediction also gives Liverpool a 3.41 per cent chance of winning the Premier League title, which is considerably lower than the 56.81 per cent given to Arsenal and 31.81 per cent to Manchester City.

After failing to score a goal against Fulham, Iraola pointed to Liverpool’s forward line and admitted that improvement would be needed.
“I think what was lacking, I think it was quite clear,” Iraola said. “It's the first game since I'm here, I think, that we've had problems to create chances, to score goals, to make the difference offensively.
“And that's the main reason. That we couldn't create as many chances as we wanted and we haven't scored a goal, and that's why we come away with just with one point.

“In the end, it's the easiest one (reason) for me, for you, for everyone. Because our players were tired. I think there is a lack of freshness, definitely. There is, we cannot hide it.
“I think it's the worst turnaround in terms of, I think 60-something hours between the games after a very big game the other day. But this is going to happen more times, maybe with one more day, maybe, but sometimes it's going to happen the same way during the season, and we have to adapt to these circumstances.
“And it's these kind of games that you need to win, sometimes with a set play, sometimes with a shot from the edge, sometimes from a moment of brilliance from the offensive players, and we haven't had today.
“We've been clearly not as good offensively as we've been other days.”
