Andoni Iraola has hinted that Liverpool will make changes for its Carabao Cup tie with Tottenham this midweek, with the Reds boss set to rotate in a bid to keep his side fresh.
Liverpool has begun a relentless schedule and looked jaded during Saturday's goalless draw with Fulham. Iraola believes that bringing in some fresh legs is the best course of action ahead of next weekend's trip to his former club, Bournemouth.
"It is the third game," Iraola said in his pre-match press conference. "In terms of the schedule, we haven't been lucky. But it is what it is. After the international break, we are playing three games in nine or 10 days.
"You can play the same players, but the problem is there will be a moment they are really tired and there is more risk of injury.
"I'm really happy with the squad. If we win, the squad will look fantastic and amazing. If we don't win, then there are problems. Tomorrow, there are players I am really happy to see because they can help us."
Giorgi Mamardashvili will start against Tottenham, Iraola later confirmed. He also said that he tried to sign the Georgian for Bournemouth when he was at Valencia.

"Alisson is proven, and he is playing very well," Iraola said. "I rate Giorgi very highly, and I know him from his years in Spain.
"We tried to sign him for Bournemouth before I came here, he is a very good goalkeeper. He is going to start tomorrow.
"Joe (Gomez) is training with the team and is available for tomorrow. It's a matter of deciding how much he can play."
Iraola could select Jeremie Frimpong again after he was dropped from the side in favor of Ronald Araujo, while there is a decision to be made at left-back. Kostas Tsimikas was hooked at half-time against Fulham after a dire first half.
