Talented midfielder Nduka confirms Arsenal exit ahead of competitive debut for Man City youth
England underage international of Nigerian descent Mishel Nduka has taken to social media to confirm his departure from Arsenal.
The highly rated midfielder has seemingly completed a move to Arsenal's Premier League rivals Manchester City, having made his competitive debut for the Citizens in an U18 Premier League clash against Sunderland this past weekend.
Nduka came on as a 79th-minute substitute for Jake Wain, with City already leading 4-1.
Dexter Oliver, Marlow Barrett, William Gueke and Heaven Kilwa were on the scoresheet for the hosts, while James Barker pulled one back for Sunderland.
The 16-year-old's departure brings an end to his time at Arsenal after he rejected a scholarship offer from the Gunners.
Manchester City beat Arsenal to Nduka's signature after reportedly offering the youngster a £20,000-a-week deal.
Nduka joined Arsenal from Charlton Athletic last September and went on to make his debut for the club's youth teams in the UEFA Youth League and U18 Premier League during his final season as a schoolboy.
He shared a farewell message on Instagram, where he thanked the north London club for his time at the academy.
Writing on Instagram, Nduka posted: "Thank you ❤️. @arsenal".
Nduka's move to City represents a fresh opportunity in his development after his time within Arsenal's academy.
