US Sports Media Personality Cowherd Among Town's Owners

US sports media personality Colin Cowherd has been revealed as a minority stakeholder in Town.
Cowherd, 62, is the host of Fox Sports’ _The Herd_, contributes to _Fox NFL Kickoff_ and founded _The Volume_ podcast network.
We understand Cowherd, whose late mother hailed from Leicester, was among those to invest through one of the investment funds already involved in the club [at the end of last year as part of the ownership restructuring](https://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/50869/town-announce-change-to-ownership-structure).
Brett Johnson from the Three Lions Fund and Bob Gold from Clara Vista Investments both raised funds from new investors to buy shares from PSPRS as the Arizona police and fire service pension fund reduced its stake in the club.
As a result, a new entity, Portman Holdings LLC, became the new majority shareholder in Gamechanger 20, the company which owns the club, with ORG, which manages funds on behalf of the pension fund, Clara Vista and the Three Lions holding broadly equal stakes. The restructuring valued the club at around £400 million.
Cowherd, who had previously looked at buying a stake in MLS teams, confirmed to _[Front Office Sports](https://frontofficesports.com/article/colin-cowherd-stake-epl-ipswich/?utm_source=TWITTER&utm_medium=Article&utm_campaign=Editorial)_ that he had become a minority stakeholder in the Blues but with the size of that investment not disclosed.
Last month, it was revealed that three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem had also taken a minority stake in the club, again as part of last year’s restructuring.
