‘Not close’ – Andoni Iraola provides discouraging Liverpool injury update

Liverpool are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow in what promises to be an intriguing game of Carabao Cup football at Anfield.

The Reds are unbeaten this season under Andoni Iraola but are coming on the back of a 0-0 draw against Fulham as they simply failed to get going at home.

A few important players are currently sidelined due to injuries, such as Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley.

And now, Iraola has provided an injury update on the latter, confirming that he is still a few months away from returning to action.

Conor Bradley not close to returning to action for Liverpool

Bradley picked up a knee injury against Arsenal in early 2026 and hasn’t featured since.

Iraola says he’s back on the grass and training alone but will still take some time to return to his best.

“He is not close to training with the team,” said the Spaniard in his pre-match press conference.

🚨 Andoni Iraola on Conor Bradley:

“He is not close to training with the team. He is training alone but he has started touching the ball. We want him back as soon as possible. He has a road a little bit ahead of him and it is going to take some time.” pic.twitter.com/OaDnAAsoL6

“He is training alone, but he has started touching the ball. We want him back as soon as possible. He has a road a little bit ahead of him and it is going to take some time.”

Liverpool could do well with Bradley back as he adds a different dimension to the team. Ronald Araujo is doing a good job in that position, but with the Irishman, the Reds will be a lot more potent attacking unit from the right.
