Liverpool lost Arne Slot and a handful of key players like Mohamed Salah in the summer transfer window as they kickstarted a new era under Andoni Iraola.
The Reds made four summer signings, but ahead of the transfer window, it looked like more players would arrive at Anfield.
Liverpool tried to sign players such as Yankuba Minteh and Ismaila Sarr ahead of the deadline and have also been linked with Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara.
And now, with the transfer window having slammed shut and his squad finally settling, Andoni Iraola admits he is very happy with his current group of players.
Andoni Iraola happy with current Liverpool squad
“I’m very happy with the squad, I value a lot the players we have,” admitted the Spaniard in his pre-match press conference.
“If we win games the squad looks fantastic, if we don’t win then there are problems or whatever.
“We will see tomorrow players we haven’t seen and I am looking forward to seeing them. They can help us and they haven’t had the chance yet.”

Liverpool could do well with another defensive-minded midfielder and a right back, but apart from that, they do have a decent bunch of players who can compete at the top end of the table.
That said, if they want to keep improving, they need to continue adding players in the upcoming transfer windows.
