DETROIT (KTRE) - Former Mount Enterprise Wildcat Kendre Miller scored the first touchdown of the season for the Saints in New Orleans’ 31-30 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
It was the third career rushing touchdown for Miller.
Miller had 9 carries for 30 yards. In the third quarter, with the Saints trailing 21-0, Miller capped an 11-play, 79-yard drive with an 8-yard rushing touchdown to put the Saints on the board.
The game went into overtime tied at 24. Both teams scored on their overtime possessions, and the Saints went for two and the win. Tyler Shough’s pass fell incomplete, giving the Lions the win.
The Saints (0-1) head to Baltimore on Sunday to play the Ravens.
