Watch: 16-year-old Everton talent scores two brilliant goals for Under-18s

Everton youngster Jonathan Nsangou has caught the eye again after scoring twice for the Under-18s in their 4-1 victory over Wolves at the weekend.

The 16-year-old forward produced two superb finishes as Everton picked up their second U18 Premier League win of the season. The club’s academy account shared footage of the goals on Sunday, describing them as “two incredible finishes”.

Nsangou continues impressive start

Nsangou is becoming a name worth keeping an eye on at Finch Farm. He broke into Everton’s Under-18 side last season, registering nine goal contributions in 20 league appearances, and also made his Under-21 debut while still only 15.

The youngster has carried that form into the new campaign. He scored a first-half hat-trick as Everton beat Reading 5-0 in the U18 Premier League Cup last month and is now the Under-18s’ leading league scorer with four goals.

Nsangou has represented Poland at Under-15 level and has since played for England Under-16s. There is obviously a long road between scoring goals at academy level and making the grade in Everton’s first team, particularly at 16. For now, though, two finishes like these are worth enjoying.
