The games continue to come thick and fast for Andoni Iraola, with the Liverpool head coach afforded little time to dwell on Saturday afternoon’s disappointing goalless draw at home to Fulham.
With the match coming just days after the Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid, fatigue was cited as a factor behind the lacklustre display.

Iraola is therefore likely to make several changes for the meeting with Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham at Anfield on Tusday night.
Spurs are yet to score in the Premier League this season, but they did put five past Charlton Athletic in the second round of the competition.
Elsewhere, January signing Ifeanyi Ndukwe will be eligible to play for Liverpool this season after making his debut for Levante, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The 18-year-old came off the bench in the 71st minute of Levante’s 4-2 home defeat to champions Barcelona on Sunday.
Ndukwe initially faced a delay in making his Liverpool debut due to work permit complications, despite impressing during pre-season. His appearance for Levante has now taken him to the threshold required to secure a permit.
Liverpool will also have an exemption spot available from February, which would allow Ndukwe to play, while they could recall him from his loan spell in January if deemed appropriate.
The centre-back joined Liverpool from Austria Vienna in a £2.6million deal after completing a pre-season trial with the Reds.
Ndukwe joined Levante on loan for the 2026/27 season. There is no option to buy included in the deal, while Liverpool are understood to have a break clause that could allow them to recall the defender in January.
Liverpool currently have Virgil van Dijk, Ronald Araujo, Jeremy Jacquet, Giovanni Leoni and Joe Gomez as their senior centre-back options.
With Van Dijk and Gomez both out of contract next summer and Araujo only on loan, a vacancy could emerge in Iraola’s squad in 12 months’ time.
