### 4\. Big shoutout to the Eagles' secondary on Sunday
One of the premier wide receivers in the NFL, Washington's Terry McLaurin couldn't solve the Eagles' outside cornerbacks. He was targeted just one time with zero receptions when matched up with either Riq Woolen (13 matchups) or Quinyon Mitchell (9) in coverage. McLaurin was held without a reception across his first 30 consecutive routes run overall before recording an 8-yard reception on his 31st route run with 4:40 remaining in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with just two receptions for 14 yards across four targets and a team-high 35 routes run.
### 5\. Jalen Carter: He does it all
Jalen Carter changes games along the defensive line, we all know that. And we see him on special teams changing games there, too. It's remarkable, really, when you consider this big picture: Carter ranks tied for second in the NFL with 4 blocked kicks (2 blocked field goals and 2 blocked PATs) since 2023 (behind Houston's Denico Autry, 5). Carter blocked a point-after attempt in last December's win over Buffalo that proved to be the difference maker and his blocked extra point attempt on Sunday helped the Eagles preserve the two-point victory over Washington.
"Jalen just has a knack for the ball and he makes great plays," said defensive tackle Moro Ojomo of Carter's blocked PAT. "And there was another one where he (Commanders rookie kicker Drew Stevens) missed it, but if you look at that clip, there's no way he would've made it if he kicked it straight."
"Some guys just have a great feel for it and I think J.C. has a great feel for it," Special Teams Coordinator Michael Clay said last December after the blocked PAT against Buffalo. "But, again, you could see how his mind works, him getting set, getting ready, kind of (anticipating) what the holder and the kicker are doing.
"Obviously, we can't leave until that ball snaps so guys may try to go on a double set or things of that nature, try to get us off balance, but you can see he's keying that ball. Once that ball is snapped, he's out of there and he does a great job of really kind of bypassing the long snapper so we don't get the penalty, but also when you get past the long snapper, it's less of a guy pushing at your legs where I can get my legs up and go block it."
