Match Referee
Ahead of Manchester City against Norwich City in the Carabao Cup third round on Thursday night, the EFL have appointed Ruebyn Ricardo to the fixture as the on-field match referee.
Ricardo will be taking charge of his sixth match in the 2026/27 season to date, having overseen contests in the EFL Championship as well as in both the first and second rounds of the Carabao Cup.
So far in the League Cup, Ruebyn Ricardo has taken charge of Birmingham City's 0-1 win at Swansea City in round one, as well as West Ham's 1-4 win away at Southampton in round two.
Looking towards the third round, this will be the first time Manchester City have seen a match officiated by Ricardo in any competition, having only come across the match official through their Under-21 side in August 2023 and a 4-4 draw at home to Aston Villa.
Assistant Referees
Accompanying Ruebyn Ricardo on the pitch at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night will be officials James Mainwaring and Richard Woodward, appointed into the assistant referee roles.
Fourth Official
Completing the team on the ground at the Etihad Stadium for Manchester City against Norwich City will be referee Michael Salisbury, appointed as the contest's fourth official to monitor events concerning Enzo Maresca and Philippe Clement.
