Bo Nix, Jaylen Waddle and Evan Engram were in sync as they pulled off a great touchdown highlight in the Denver Broncos' season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.

Denver has big expectations going into the 2026 campaign. They made the AFC Championship Game, coming up short as they missed Nix due to a season-ending ankle injury.

Knowing they have to build on that success to remain serious playoff contenders, Denver had to show they can beat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in the opener. And they were going to have to trade blows throughout the game.

That was certainly the case in the first half, seeing Mahomes put Kansas City on the board first with a touchdown. Despite this, Denver fired back late in the first quarter as Nix fired a pass to an open Engram in the end zone to tie the game at seven apiece. Waddle lured some defenders with some sneaky footwork to create the space for Engram to get open.
