My grandfather bought Browns season tickets at Cleveland Municipal Stadium in the 1970s.
As a teenager, my mom would attend games with her dad. They were very close, and the Browns were a big piece of their bond. My parents hadn't met yet, but my dad was almost always inside the old stadium, too, cheering on **[Brian Sipe](/Coach/brian-sipe-861/)** during the glory days of Cleveland football.
Years later, as the Browns were preparing for an anticipated return to Northeast Ohio, my mom's dad purchased a PSL in the lower bowl of the new Cleveland Browns Stadium. He had priority in selecting his seats at the new stadium as a longtime ticketholder.
My grandpa went through the seat selection process before the new stadium was even built, but suddenly passed away in May, 1999, five months after his first grandchild was born – me.
A few weeks after he passed away, my mom received a letter from the Browns. His two seats were confirmed.

Even though my grandfather never got to watch the Browns in their current stadium, those seats are where I watched my first Browns games throughout my childhood with my family. Many years after attending my final game in those seats, **I'm excited to announce Cleveland Football Report as the new Browns site on 247Sports.**
Some would say that my grandfather's passing was a blessing, as he hasn't been tormented with these post-expansion Browns like we all have. I get to make these jokes because I don't remember meeting the man. But I'm positive that he'd be beaming over the fact that his grandkid is running his own Browns site moving forward.
The plan for the CFR is to deliver your Browns coverage as you've come to expect it, while honoring the generations of fans that built our team's rich history.
The message boards aren't going anywhere. This is a community, and I want to hear from everyone. I'm going to be wildly active in them. Ask me stuff. I will definitely answer.
There will be some new elements, too. The Cleveland Football Report YouTube channel will have daily reporting from Berea, a video podcast with exclusive interviews and live postgame shows built on fan interaction.
Over the next few days and weeks, you'll see some new voices join me on the site. We're building a Browns newsroom, and have already hired a few new writers. They'll provide different types of content like film breakdowns, cap analysis and insider nuggets. You better believe they'll be on the message boards, also. I've also already hired some social media support and plan to build this platform around access, expert reporting, community and video.
The Browns are entering a new era – and so am I – with an opportunity to plant my own flag in my family's long history with Cleveland football.
