**Liverpool are set to welcome Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield today as they prepare for their Carabao Cup second-round clash.**
The Reds are coming on the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw against Fulham in a game in which they failed to create too many clear-cut chances.
Tottenham are winless in the Premier League and have scored in just one game this season – which was in their 5-1 win against Charlton Athletic.
And now, ahead of the game, former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam has criticised Victor Munoz, Bradley Barcola and Alexander Isak for their lacklustre performances against Fulham at the weekend.
Barcola and Munoz started either side of Isak and didn’t really set the world alight with their performances.
To be fair to Munoz, he started the game quite well but fizzled out as the game went on, as he was substituted for Rio Ngumoha.
“They just never had that cutting edge at the top end of the pitch,” said Adam via the [Tippy Tappy podcast](https://x.com/NoTippyTappyPod).
“Barcola and Munoz never really caused any problems. Isak, for me, needs to do more. It was a tough game to watch.”
The Liverpool attackers are still learning to play alongside each other, and to be fair to the Reds, they scored in every game this season barring the Fulham one, so maybe we can brush it off as a one-off for now.
