Everton would reportedly be open to signing Jack Grealish permanently next summer if he impresses during his second loan spell at the Hill Dickinson.
Everton have already been linked with keeping Grealish beyond the end of the season, with the 31-year-old said to have his sights set on remaining on Merseyside. The same Football Insider report also claims the Toffees would be open to signing him as a free agent if he performs well this season.

Grealish’s Manchester City contract expires in June 2027, meaning Everton would not need to negotiate a transfer fee if he reaches the end of his deal.
Football Insider claims Aston Villa could provide competition for their former captain, although Grealish pushed to return to Everton during the closing stages of the summer window. That much is clear. Grealish rejoined on a season-long loan on Deadline Day after his first spell at the Hill Dickinson was cut short by a serious foot injury in January.
He made no secret of his happiness at returning, saying after the move that he had enjoyed a “perfect time” at Everton before his injury and believes David Moyes is among the managers under whom he has played his best football. There is still a long way to go before Everton need to make another decision.
Grealish has only recently returned from the injury which ended his first loan spell, and Everton now have most of the season to judge his fitness and performances before committing to anything beyond it. A free transfer would obviously remove one major obstacle if both parties want to continue the relationship.
For now, though, the suggestion Everton would be prepared to do so remains exactly that. Grealish has another season at the Hill Dickinson to make his case.
