Enzo Fernandez has been told he put in his best performance of the last two years during the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Fernandez has instantly become a crucial player for Enzo Maresca since making the controversial move away from Stamford Bridge in the final hours of the transfer window.
It was Chelsea fans who were waxing lyrical about his performance against Manchester United though. The Argentine played a crucial role as the 10-man Citizens held on for a famous victory.
Chelsea fans, how do you feel about Enzo Fernandez’s exit after his bright display in the Manchester derby?

We already knew he was a very good player so hardly surprising to see him do well. He’s not worth £125m though so we still won the deal
Unfortunately for Enzo the booing was twofold. Can you remember any players in the premier league era, apart from Courtois who actually said they wanted to leave or actually put in a transfer request. Maresca had been chatting with Enzo since he left.
I think we supporters made his mind up with the incessant booing of him after the World Cup , he is going to be our nemesis
Enzo Fernandez’s performance vs Man United described as ‘his best game in the last two years’
BBC Sport’s Troy Deeney named the midfielder in his Premier League Team of the Week, stating that he believes he has just had his best game in the last two years.
He said: “He had his best game in the last two years against Manchester United. He actually did everything the team needed – ran with the ball, looked after it, bought fouls, tried his best to get others sent off. I thought he was a catalyst for the team. His best performance for City so far.”
This is a damning indictment for the Blues. He has played just two Premier League games for his new club, and is already seen as better off for the move.
The same cannot be said about Chelsea’s current setup in midfield, which for the majority of the season has been missing both Fernandez and Moises Caicedo.

The Ecuadorian’s only appearance came off the bench against Brighton, although he was forced off again in that game after aggravating his previous injury.
Xabi Alonso has been forced to use the likes of Malo Gusto and Reece James in the middle of the park, which has not been particularly profitable.
Jordan Henderson is expected to be fit to face Brentford on Friday night and make his debut for the club, but concerns over protecting Caicedo could see his return pushed back until after the international break.
