Most professional football teams across England have a famous supporter or two. Usain Bolt loves Manchester United, for example, and Elton John used to own Watford and even has a stand named after him.
Oasis stars Noel and Liam Gallagher are among the most well-known fans of a current Premier League club. The band is heavily linked with Manchester City, having followed them in their lowest days. In the modern era – since the Sheikh Mansour takeover of 2008 – the Gallagher brothers have got to enjoy all sorts of glory.
More often than not, at least one of the siblings is spotted at games, revelling in the occasion. However, it appears as though Noel once got a little too close to the action, and ended up paying the price.

Man City's Dramatic Premier League Title Win of 2021/22
Back in 2021/22, Man City won a quite remarkable league title. Pep Guardiola's men picked up 93 points to finish one place and one point above Liverpool. With things tight, it all went down to the wire on the final day of the season.
Aston Villa actually went 2-0 up at the Etihad in City's final match. Seeing as Liverpool would beat 3-1 Wolves, the Cityzens needed all three points to seal the title. Luckily for them, three goals in the space of six minutes – as Ilkay Gundogan grabbed a brace, while Rodri also scored – were enough for Man City to come back and be crowned champions.
It may have been Guardiola's fourth Premier League title in five years, but the dramatic final-day climax made it feel just a bit more special. The scenes afterwards were certainly pretty wild.
Noel Gallagher Headbutted by Ruben Dias' Dad
Noel Gallagher was at the Etihad that afternoon, and he revealed how it led to a nasty clash with Ruben Dias' father. On the Monday after the title win, Noel told talkSPORT, via the Mirror, about his experiences of the dramatic game:
"So as the third goal goes in, right, there is absolute bedlam. As you can imagine, in the stadium where we sit. Ruben Dias' family are in the box, a couple of boxes up.
"So I'm jumping around like an idiot, passing my 11-year-old son around like the Premier League trophy, everyone is lifting him up and I turn around and Ruben Dias' dad runs straight into me, headbutting me. I'm on the floor, covered in blood. I don't see the last two minutes.
"I've got to get taken down by the St John's Ambulance and had to get stitched up. I've got stitches in my top lip and I've got two black eyes."
Gallagher went on to explain how Guardiola was concerned when they later passed each other amidst the celebrations, recalling: "As I'm going down the corridor, Pep's running up crying and we kind of hug each other and he says, 'What's up with your face?' And I was like, 'Go and be with your players, nothing to do with me.'
"I look like I've just arrived home from the eighties at Elland Road. I look like I've had my head smashed in. It's unbelievable. He [Dias' father] is a big bear of a man - he almost knocked my teeth out. But as days go at The Etihad, that's got to be up there with the best."
Dias has won a total of four league titles at City – all in a row from 2021 to 2024 – while also adding two FA Cup titles, the League Cup, club World Cup, and a Champions League to his collection. He may never win a trophy more dramatically, though, than his Premier League triumph on that day against Aston Villa.
