Andoni Iraola has made 10 changes to his Liverpool side for Tottenham’s visit in the Carabao Cup, with Trey Nyoni among the starters.
Anfield’s third game in seven days across three different competitions has heralded changes for Iraola, after admitting a lack of freshness following the weekend’s draw with Fulham.
Giorgi Mamardashvili replaces Alisson in goal, with a new-look backline of Jeremie Frimpong, Ronald Araujo, Joe Gomez and Milos Kerkez ahead of him.
Trey Nyoni gets his first start of the season in midfield, with James McConnell and Alexis Mac Allister accompanying the 19-year-old.
In attack, Cody Gakpo returns from injury and is joined by youngsters Rio Ngumoha and Lewis Koumas.
Wataru Endo is on the bench and is joined by the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander Isak, Victor Munoz and Bradley Barcola.
It leaves Virgil van Dijk, Kostas Tsimikas and Florian Wirtz as the players left out of the squad entirely for Liverpool.
Ex-Red Andy Robertson, meanwhile, is on the bench for Tottenham as Roberto De Zerbi makes eight changes after their goalless draw at Everton.
