Barcelona star Aleandro Balde has emerged as a potential transfer target for Liverpool, with Manchester United also linked with a move

Liverpool are being linked with a move for another Barcelona player, just a few months after signing Ronald Araujo. Defender Alejandro Balde has emerged as a potential target for the Reds, who has prevuiously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Araujo signed for Liverpool back in August on a season-long loan deal, which also includes an option to make the move permanent. The Reds can activate this option next summer with a £47million fee already agreed between both clubs as part of the original deal.
It has now been reported that Balde could be a target for Liverpool in the future, which would see them beat rivals United to the left-back’s signature.
Spanish publication Sport have reported that Liverpool are considering a move for Balde as a potential “market opportunity”, with Andoni Iraola thought to be keen to bring the defender to Anfield.
The report claims that Balde’s future at Barcelona remains uncertain, with a departure in January mentioned as a possibility due to the Spain international not getting regular minutes so far this season.
United are also mentioned as still having an interest in signing Balde, who is reported to be valued at around €40million (£34.3million) by the reigning La Liga champions.
Inter Milan, who signed Curtis Jones from Liverpool earlier in the summer, are mentioned in the report as having an interest in Balde, who is under contract at the Camp Nou until 2028.
It has also been reported that, despite the aforementioned valuation, Balde has a release clause in his contract at Barcelona worth €1billion (£856million).

It remains to be seen if the report has any basis of truth, with Liverpool currently having Milos Kerkez and Kostas Tsimikas as their current left-back options.
Kerkez only signed for Liverpool last summer in a £40million deal from Bournemouth, and is now the established first-choice left-back at Anfield.
Tsimikas returned to Liverpool earlier in the summer following a loan spell with Roma last term, and has just one year remaining on his contract.
Liverpool had a relatively quiet summer transfer window, with Araujo one of four new additions to the squad, along with Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Bradley Barcola.
