This weekend brings a big test for Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola, who will lead the Reds out against his former club Bournemouth. Both teams have drawn three of their first four matches but victory on the south coast could help the new boss kick-start his spell on Merseyside.
The first four league matches of the season have brought questions about squad balance despite the addition of France star Bradley Barcola. Things haven't quietened down on the transfer front despite the window shutting on September 1, with another new addition confirmed on Tuesday.
Iraola will have time to take stock of his options after that match at the Vitality Stadium. An extended international window means Premier League teams will go three weeks without a game, with Liverpool hosting Manchester City when they return from the break on October 11.

Farkas completes Anfield return
Hungarian youngster Patrik Farkas has rejoined Liverpool for a second spell, the club have confirmed. Farkas spent a year in the Reds' academy before joining Blackburn in 2022 and will now link up with the Reds' Under-21 squad.
"It's a dream come true to sign here, I'm really happy and just excited to get started," said the midfielder, whose brother Erik plays for Liverpool's Under-18s. "I'm enjoying being back at Liverpool, there are some new faces but it's good to meet everyone and also see lots of old friends as well.
"I'm a technical player, a box-to-box player who can play in multiple positions and try to make things happen. The coaches have just asked me to excite them, to get playing, be confident and show them what I can do. From there anything can happen. Work hard and take the next step from there."

Former Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto believes he may have been too quick to leave the club. The Spaniard was signed by Brendan Rodgers at the age of 20 but made just 12 appearances and left for Lazio after two loan spells in his three years at Anfield.
"I came to England because of Brendan Rodgers," the 33-year-old told ABC. "I knew it wasn’t going to be easy; going from Barcelona B to Liverpool was a big change, and that was to be expected. I trained, did what they asked of me, and got a few games and some playing time.
“I always say I made a mistake by not accepting reality. I should have stayed longer, even if it would have taken me some time to break into the plans, I wasn’t patient enough, and I left the following year.”
