Everton are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season on Wednesday night when they host Championship outfit Wolves in the EFL Cup third round.
The Toffees have won one and drawn three of their four Premier League games so far this season, while they cruised through their second-round clash in the EFL Cup thanks to a dominant 4-0 win over Preston North End, with Thierno Barry netting a hat-trick.
Since then, the club have seen forward Beto leave for Fiorentina without being replaced after a deal for Folarin Balogun collapsed after the transfer deadline had closed, while Jack Grealish has joined on another season-long loan move from Manchester City.
So far, Grealish is yet to start with Brennan Johnson and fellow summer signing Tyrique George taking the winger roles, and both playing well under Moyes to make the team a threat going forward.
George, in particular, has shone with his direct dribbling and creativity, netting a stunning goal in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United too, to show his quality. But that has seen limited opportunities once again for another young winger in the squad in Tyler Dibling.
The English winger joined the club from Southampton in the summer of 2025 in a deal worth £42m, but he struggled to make an impact in his maiden season, registering just 353 minutes of action in the Premier League, with just five starts in all competitions.
Moyes has admitted that his squad this season is too small, and that means that Dibling should get an opportunity to feature more often. But so far this season he is yet to get even a single minute of action in the Premier League, while he managed just 64 minutes in the EFL Cup win over Preston.
Speaking recently, the manager admitted that Dibling has begun to show him more of what he is looking for, but also revealed that he still needs more.
"Tyler [Dibling] has started to show bits which have been better," he said. "He has started to come to life a little bit in some ways in a couple of the games.
“I still would need more from him. I would need more assists, more opportunities to score from him as well. I said last week if we are going to score more goals then we need our wide players to be more creative or score goals to give us that.
"So Tyler needs to keep that up, but he’s certainly doing much better in the last few weeks, that’s for sure.”

It seems quite evident that if Dibling wants to be a success at Everton, then he needs to make some drastic changes to impress Moyes or be let go.
There has been an abundance of interest in his services, both before and since he moved to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and Everton will know that if they decide to cut their losses, those clubs will return once again.
But the midweek game against Wolves is a chance for Dibling to fight for his place, and his career on Merseyside, or go out with a whimper if he can't prove why he deserves more opportunities, and take his chance.
With George taking his chance, and Grealish ready to step into the team once he reaches full fitness, if Dibling fails to make an impression yet again, then it is probably the end of the road for his time at the club.
