**Mikel Arteta** reflected on a 4-2 win for **Arsenal** against **Ipswich Town** in the **Carabao Cup**.
The _Gunners_ had been victorious in all four of their **Premier League** fixtures (**Coventry City**, **Aston Villa**, **Chelsea** and **Sunderland**), the **Community Shield** against **Manchester City**, and their opener in the **Champions League** against **Napoli** before their trip for the third round of the **Carabao Cup**.
And inside 20 minutes, they had taken a two-goal lead at **Portman Road**. **Max Dowman** drilled home the first goal of the game, and **Noni Madueke** rounded off a strong sequence of pressure with a well-placed finish past **Christian Walton**. Dowman then wrapped up his brace early in the second half before letting the ball run for **Mikel Merino** to add a fourth goal from the top of the box.
·**‘I'm really pleased with a lot of things we've done’**
---------------------------------------------------------
The defensively disciplined **Premier League** champions will not be happy about giving away two goals, but the manager cannot be too dissatisfied as a perfect winning record continues for the team.
And he was happy to give minutes to **Marli Salmon** and **Theo Julienne**, who made his competitive debut for the club, to use the early rounds of this cup competition in the way that one would want.
_“I'm really pleased with a lot of things that we've done tonight – the way we attacked the game, how dominant, fluent and aggressive we were right from the beginning to try to influence the results._
_“We scored two very early goals that gave us a great platform for the game, and individually some big performances as well. Some debuts tonight, which is great to see as well. So, we take a lot of positives from the night._
_“I live in the moment and just having two 16-year-olds playing for_ **_Arsenal_** _at this level against a_ **_Premier League_** _team is so fulfilling, because I've been there and just to be able to contribute on somebody's career and dream, to be able to experience something like tonight is just phenomenal._
_“Medium and long term, we know that if they continue to develop in the way that they are, we're going to have two tremendous footballers for the future.”_
