Prime Minister Andy Burnham will be in Liverpool today to meet with his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney. The two world leaders are both Everton fans and are expected to watch the Toffees in action after their meeting.
Mr Burnham is returning to work after taking some brief compassionate leave following the death of his father, Roy, who died on Monday following a battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He returns with a packed schedule today, which will also include a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at a science campus in Oxford.
And later today, he will meet with Mr Carney, the Prime Minister of Canada, in Liverpool for a crucial bilateral meeting. The two world leaders are both Everton fans and reports suggest that after their meeting, they will head to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to watch their beloved Toffees in action.

The Blues take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup, kicking off at 7.45pm - with both major world leaders set to be watching on.
According to reports, the meeting between the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom and Canada will be behind closed doors - but there may be some televised opening words before then.
While Mr Burnham's love of Everton is well known, it may come as a surprise to some that former Bank of England Governor Mark Carney is also a passionate Toffee.
Back in 2013, before he took over at the Bank of England, Mr Carney let slip about his allegiances. During a hearing in his native Canada, he said: "I am an Everton supporter. I have got some cousins in Liverpool.”
Meanwhile his UK compatriot has vowed to continue going to watch his team in action at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as Prime Minister.
